Artists Georgiy Makarov
Artist Georgy Makarov was born in 1969 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. In 1988 he graduated from the Karaganda Teachers Training School, where his specialty was painting and graphic arts. Since 1988 he has been living and working in Almaty. Since 1995, Georgy has been teaching painting and composition at multidiscipline gymnasium No. 79, Almaty, and has been leading the Studio in Arvest Art Gallery. Since 1996, Georgy has been actively participating in group exhibitions, art projects, original ceramics, small drawings and miniature fairs, has been a member of the Green Market art group and the Seger Cone art union, and has been holding personal exhibitions. Georgy's works are held in private collections in Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Italy, Great Britain, Spain, and Azerbaijan. His works are also displayed at Kasteyev Fine Arts Museum, Almaty.
